
Old Cheptisun / Chepti Sun Earrings
Location- Nepal
Estimated Age- 20th century
Worn mostly by the Tamang (but also the Magar and others) in Nepal and Northeast India. While usually made from gold, many women can afford only to have these in Brass. This pair has a sunbeam style motiff with leafy swirls on the left and right. Extremely hard to find now.
These are about 1-5/8" X 1-1/2" in size and are made from Brass.
